This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Roy Rindom, a South Florida native, active inventor, and long-time community member. Roy is the creator of The Bottle Station — a patent-pending invention that makes everyday life easier by keeping pump bottles steady and operable with just one hand. Using four suction cups, The Bottle Station sticks to any smooth surface, preventing bottles from tipping. It’s perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, RVs, boats, offices, and more.
Roy isn’t just inventing; he’s also building visibility. He’s taken The Bottle Station to major industry stages, including The Inspired Home Show in Chicago, and is exploring opportunities like Pitch to the Pros with the Kevin Harrington Group. He’s also expanding into custom logo printing, turning The Bottle Station into both a functional tool and a promotional product for businesses.

Inventor Tip of the Week — Capture Your Ideas Immediately
One of Brian Fried’s biggest pieces of advice for inventors is simple but powerful: get your ideas out of your head and onto paper as soon as they strike.
As Brian explains, “It all starts with an idea in your head. Wherever you are, you need to get it out of your head. Use a napkin, text, email, or leave yourself a voice message to capture your idea before it disappears.”
Why it matters: Too many inventors lose valuable ideas because they trust their memory. But the invention process starts with creating a record. Once you’ve written it down, you can sketch it, research it, and protect it. It’s your first step toward proving ownership, evaluating potential, and ultimately moving forward.
📌 Pro Tip: Don’t wait until you’re “ready” — use whatever tool is at hand. Later, organize those notes in a bound invention journal or a digital folder with time-stamped entries. Over time, you’ll see patterns, improvements, and the evolution of your best ideas.
🎯 Action Step: This week, commit to never letting an idea slip away. Keep a small notebook in your bag or use your phone’s voice recorder. The moment an idea comes, capture it. That single habit can turn sparks of inspiration into real inventions.

On This Day in Inventor History — August 25
1819 – The world lost one of its greatest innovators. On this day, James Watt, the Scottish inventor whose steam engine improvements powered the Industrial Revolution, passed away at age 83. Watt’s pioneering enhancements—like the separate condenser, double-acting engine, and more efficient rotary mechanisms—fundamentally transformed the efficiency and reach of steam power, paving the way for modern industry and even having the unit of power, the watt, named in his honor.
