Hello Inventor Smart Community, and welcome to a new week at HQ! As we roll into the final full week of June, we’ve got something extra cheesy (in a good way) to kick things off—Happy National Detroit-Style Pizza Day! Whether you're firing up your creativity or your oven, this week brings plenty of flavor to your inventor journey.

Our biggest spotlight? Inventors Got Talent is happening this Wednesday, June 25th, at 8 PM ET! Get ready for a special night of live product pitches, community voting, and awards as inventors from across the country step into the spotlight to share what they’ve built. This is your front-row seat to innovation in action—and you’ll even help decide the winners.

Also on June 25th: Global Beatles Day. Just like the Fab Four changed music forever, we believe great inventors can shape the future too. So whether you're working on your “Yesterday” prototype or looking to “Come Together” with the community, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

🛠️ Inventor Tip of the Week: Pitch Smarter with the “Problem–Solution–Proof” Framework

When sharing your invention—whether in a pitch, an email, or even a conversation—keep it simple and powerful by using this 3-part structure:

  1. Problem – What’s the real-world issue your product solves?

  2. Solution – How does your invention fix it, faster or better than what’s out there?

  3. Proof – What evidence, traction, or testimonials can you share that shows it works?

💡 Whether you’re preparing for Inventors Got Talent or meeting with a potential partner, this structure helps your message land quickly—and stick.

Use it, refine it, repeat it—and you’ll be one step closer to yes.

🗓 On This Day in Inventor History – Monday, June 23

Today, we spotlight a quiet innovator whose breakthrough helped millions of people connect—literally.

📞 June 23, 2009 – Dr. Jagadish Chandra Bose was posthumously honored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for his pioneering work in radio and microwave optics, laying the groundwork for wireless communication long before it was mainstream.

While Guglielmo Marconi is often credited with the invention of the radio, it was Bose—an Indian scientist, inventor, and polymath—who first demonstrated wireless transmission of electromagnetic waves in the 1890s. He never patented his work, believing knowledge should be shared freely.

Bose’s quiet brilliance reminds us:
Not all inventors seek the spotlight—but their ideas still change the world.

So today, as you prepare your next pitch or prototype, remember:
You don’t need fame to make an impact.
You just need a spark, a solution, and the courage to share it.

🍕🎸 This Week’s National Day Highlights

Monday, June 23 — National Detroit-Style Pizza Day
Square, deep, and built in auto-industry pans, Detroit-style pizza wasn’t just delicious—it was a quiet act of invention. Back in 1946, Gus Guerra turned industrial steel pans into pizza gold, showing us that innovation doesn’t always start in a lab. Sometimes, it starts in a bar kitchen with a bold idea and the courage to try something new.

🍽️ What’s the lesson for inventors? Look around. The tools for your next breakthrough might already be within reach—just waiting to be repurposed.

Wednesday, June 25 — Global Beatles Day
On this day in 1967, The Beatles performed “All You Need Is Love” via the first-ever live international satellite broadcast—reaching 400 million people in 26 countries. That performance wasn’t just musical—it was technological innovation at its finest.

🎙️ What’s the inventor takeaway? If your idea has heart and message, it can go global. Pair it with the right tools, and you’re not just inventing—you’re inspiring.

Keep inventing, keep sharing, and hey—maybe treat yourself to some pizza and Beatles vinyl this week. You’ve earned it.

🌟 Before You Go…

This week is all about putting ideas into motion—on stage, in the lab, or even in your kitchen. Whether you’re presenting at Inventors Got Talent or cheering others on, your voice matters in this community.

Every pitch, profile update, forum post, or brainstorm builds momentum. Progress doesn’t always come in big leaps—it’s often baked slowly (like Detroit-style pizza) or broadcast boldly (like a Beatles chorus from space).

So keep going. Keep sharing. And keep believing that your invention might be the next spark the world needs.
