Featuring: Dan “@inventordanny” Cass
This week’s spotlight shines on Dan Cass, better known in the Inventor Smart Community as @inventordanny — a visionary in consumer product design and President of D3 Products, a company known for creating space-saving, market-disrupting tech.
With a master’s in electrical engineering and a talent for reverse engineering, Dan’s approach to innovation is as strategic as it is creative. Under his leadership, D3 Products was named one of the 10 Hottest Startups at CES 2020 and went on to win the IBT Innovation Award at CES 2022.
His latest invention? The Liddle Speaker — a magnetic, wireless speaker that attaches to virtually any surface, including the MagSafe area of your phone. Sleek, powerful, and portable, it’s a brilliant example of how simple ideas, engineered well, can reshape everyday tech.
Beyond building great products, Dan is a strong advocate for licensing, partnerships, and collaboration—and continues to support fellow inventors by sharing his journey at events like the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
“I focus on creating products that solve everyday problems in a smarter, more compact way. If it doesn’t serve a purpose or improve the user experience, I won’t build it.”
