📅 Monday, May 26
Today, as we observe Memorial Day, we remember the brave men and women whose sacrifices have shaped our freedom and the future. In that spirit, we honor Grace Hopper (1906–1992)—a pioneering computer scientist and naval officer whose innovations helped lay the groundwork for modern computing.
Known as “Amazing Grace,” Hopper invented the first compiler, which translated written language into machine code, revolutionizing how humans communicate with computers. Her work made programming more accessible and accelerated the rise of software development.
💻 Grace’s legacy is a powerful reminder that innovation often comes from serving a greater purpose—just as those we honor today served a cause bigger than themselves.
